Mission
To ensure that every member of our community has access to the resources they need, while also working to prevent the circumstances that lead to homelessness
The Lincoln County Homeless Advisory Board is 1 of 8 pilot programs in the State established through House Bill 4123 which was passed in 2022 in response to the housing crisis. Each pilot received $1 million in state funding to operationalize coordinated offices, anchored by city-county partnerships, to strengthen their communities’ homeless response systems. The Lincoln County Homeless Advisory Board contracted the Housing Authority to be the Office of the Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board was formed in partnership with Lincoln County on behalf of a coalition comprised of the cities of Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, Newport, Toledo, Waldport and Yachats as well as the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians and Community Services Consortium. Along with homeless service providers and community stakeholders, these entities partnered with consultants from Morant McLeod to develop a plan to coordinate the region’s response to the unhoused.
Currently the Lincoln County Homeless Advisory Board is working on the implementation of the Strategic Plan. Click the button below to view the plan.
